Commerce opens the registration of the Window Dressing Contest, with prizes for all participants

The Department of Commerce directed by Lorenzo Martínez has opened the registration period for the 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest, which this year provides prizes of 350 euros in the form of second prize awards for all participating establishments. A decision that is part of the latest measures to support the local productive fabric, as announced last week by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and with which he also wants to contribute to the commercial revitalization of Benidorm during the Christmas season. Thus, the City Council is going to allocate one million euros to the prizes of this 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest.

The councillor of Commerce has detailed that "all businesses, hospitality establishments and hotels in our city that have a valid municipal opening license for the development of their activity can participate in the contest" and that "Christmas lighting and ornamentation must be exposed, at least, from December 8 to January 6 ".

Martínez has reported that "the submission period will be open until 2:00 pm next Monday, December 7 and must be formalized through the email shop2020@benidorm.org".

In addition to the second prize awards for all participants, three prizes of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros respectively will be awarded to the establishments with the best Christmas decorations; a decision that "will be adopted by a jury after assessing aspects such as image, lighting, originality, creativity, color and the use of Christmas decorations".
