The students have received training and a salary equivalent to the minimun wage
Closing of the training program for young people 'T'Avalem Racó de l'Oix'
This morning the training program 'T'Avalem Racó de l'Oix' have closed, coordinated by the Department of Employment and Local Development that has trained 20 students in two specialties: 'Urbanization pavements and masonry' and 'Animation in centers of public education '.
Ten young people participated in each of these specialties. Some of them making improvements in the urban scene in Rincón de Loix and surroundings of Europa Avenue; others, developing animation programs at Boca del Calvari Museum, Hort de Colón and Plaza de la Navidad, among others. Each of the participants has received throughout the program a salary equivalent to the SMI (Minimum Interprofessional Salary).
After the ceremony of delivery of diplomas that have taken place in the Employment Center 'Pepita Puchades', dependent of the Agency of Employment and Local Development (AEDL) of the City Council, the person in charge of the area, M. Jesus Pinto, announced that "six of those enrolled in the program have obtained a job before the end of the program", with which "the value of the project has been demonstrated and its objectives have been fulfilled". Pinto is convinced that the rest of the participants "will follow very soon this path, 30% success, before the end of the project, so it augurs," she underlined.
M. Jesus Pinto thanked the work done by the municipal technicians of the AEDL, also the teaching team that have been in charge of the subjects: a director, two professors of each specialty, one of support and one administrative. The budget of 'T'Avalem Racó de l'Oix' has risen to 452,701.90 euros, 86% contributed by the Servef (Valencian Employment and Training Service), through the Youth Employment Initiative of the Employment Operational Program Juvenile, the rest has been paid by the Benidorm City Council.
