The City Hall and the Provincial Council finalize the works of energy savings to be implemented in more than 10 areas in Benidorm

Experts from both administrations, accompanied by the heads of the company that will take care of the works, visited the areas to know the characteristics of each street. Among the areas are Ruzafa street and adjacent; Apollo and its adjacent; Plaza de L'Infant; Maravall neighborhood; Europe Avenue; and several streets and avenues of Colonia Madrid and Els Tolls.

The councilman for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained the project which aims "to reduce energy consumption of street lighting".

The total cost of the works is 166,722.14 euros, from which 15,861.07 euros must be provided by the City Council, something less than 10% -. The remaining amount will be funded by the Provincial Council of Alicante.

The deadline for execution of works is four months.
