The regional body owes the entity the entire 2018 grant

The City Council advances Doble Amor center part of the 2019 grant to alleviate its situation because of Servef's non-payments

08 January 2019
El Ayuntamiento adelanta al Doble Amor parte de la subvención de 2019 para aliviar su situación ante los impagos del Servef

The Local Government Board today has approved the agreement of 2019 with Doble Amor and an advance of the same amount of 40,000 euros so that the entity can alleviate the economic situation arising from Servef defaults, which owes the association all the subsidy for the 2018 financial year.

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, explained that "as we have been transferred the situation from Doble Amor center, we have immediately started all the procedures to make possible the payment of the 40,000 euros that they have requested us." Llorca has indicated that "the defaults of the Servef have caused" serious difficulties "to the entity," which needs an advance to be able to deal with VAT, Income Tax and Social Security of the last quarter of 2018 ".

The councillor recalled that "unfortunately it is not the first time that the Doble Amor Association is in a complicated situation due to the delay in payment of this subsidy by the regional body." "In fact," he pointed out, "last year the City Council had to pass on two occasions part of the municipal subsidy so that the entity could face the payment of taxes and social insurance."

The first advance of 40,000 euros was approved in January 2018 and the second in April. When that last advance was authorized, "the Servef owed to Doble Amor a part of the subsidy of 2017, while at that moment that debt affects the totality of the 2018 grant, which exceeds 180,000 euros, endangering the operation of the programs and services offered by the Occupational Center and also the laundry activity of the Special Employment Center, in which 54 operators with functional diversity work. "

Llorca has demanded that the Generalitat "comply with its commitments and be updated in the payment of Doble Amor grant to ensure the continuity and functioning of Occupational and Employment Centers managed by the Association and in which more than a hundred people are assisted. "

The municipal subsidy for Doble Amor center collected in the agreement approved today amounts to 170,000 euros.
