The car park of the building that houses the UNED and the Benidorm Official School of Languages now has new paving, which has been carried out to improve the previous one, which was very deteriorated by the passage of time and its quality, in addition to other areas that were without asphalt.

The work has been carried out at night so as not to interfere with teaching hours and from next week the students who make use of these facilities will already find a better-equipped space in which the number of places has been maintained and in which introduce some improvements.

Benidorm City Council will also undertake some improvements to the site.

Thus, a new vehicle passage gate will be placed there, a few meters from the current one, so that an itinerary will be marked so that one of the gates is only for entry and the other for exit in order to avoid collapses. that occur at the beginning and end of classes.

Likewise, the pedestrian entrance located on Barca del Bou street will move a few meters towards the corner with Nau Llondro. Some actions will also be undertaken in terms of accessibility so that access and exit to the center comply with the measures established by current regulations.

Mayor Toni Pérez visited the educational center this morning, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Space and the Mayor for Education, José Ramón González de Zárate and Maite Moreno, and stressed that "the state of the asphalt was poor due to the passage of time and the many vehicles that move around here” and that is why he has considered this action “necessary”.

Pérez has highlighted that the interventions carried out and those that will be carried out shortly "will lead to an improvement for the students who travel in their vehicles and also for those who do so through other means." He has also insisted on the benefits that improvements in accessibility will bring "which are part of our policy of achieving complete accessibility in the city".
