Brass Band of Benidorm Unión Musical performs tomorrow in ‘Concerts al Castell’ series
The event will take place at 9:30 p.m. and admission is free
Tomorrow, Wednesday, Plaça del Castell will once again become the scene of the 'Concerts al Castell' cycle, with a performance by the Brass Band of Benidorm Unión Musical starting at 9:30 p.m. in what will be the second event of this initiative of the Department of Culture that brings together different musical groups during the months of July and August and which is free of charge.
The programming began last Wednesday, July 8, with a performance by Sax S.M. La Nova, and after the evening with the Unión Musical, will continue on July 29 with L’ensemble S.M. L'illa. The final touch will take place on August 19 with Lady Liverpool, a tribute to The Beatles that will conclude this edition.
Tomorrow's program is made up of the following works: 'Summertime' by George Gershwin, 'Beyond the sea' arranged by Chamberlain, 'My way' by Frank Sinatra and Paul Anka, 'Fly me to the moon' by Frank Sinatra, 'Yesterday' by The Beatles, 'Can't help falling in love' by Elvis Presley, 'Get lucky' by Pharrell Williams, 'Ho hey' by The lumineers, 'New York, New York' by Frank Sinatra and Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
The UMB Brass Band is made up of Raquel Ruiz and José Fernando (trumpet), Oliver and Ximo García (horns), Axel García (trombone), Fernando Rodríguez (tuba), Chema Moreno (percussion) and María del Corral (singer).
The Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has reiterated that “this programming values culture as a meeting point and turns the Castell into a stage for the enjoyment of all audiences in the summer.” Concerts al Castell is once again part of the summer nights in Benidorm, “bringing live music to neighbours and visitors in one of the most emblematic spaces in the city,” said the mayor.
