Benidorm's beaches renew the 'Q' for Quality and 'S' for Sustainability flags that certify their excellence

Benidorm's Levante, Poniente, and Mal Pas beaches have once again received new distinctions certifying their quality and excellence. These are the 'Q' for Tourism Quality and 'S' for Sustainability flags, as well as the 'Safe Tourism Certified' certification, awarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE). These flags were received today by the Councillor for Beaches, Mónica Gómez, from the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez, and the ICTE, Miguel Mirones, at an event held in Madrid.
The Councillor announced that these distinctions will be displayed on the city's beaches in the coming days and stated, "We have always maintained that our urban beaches are among the top five worldwide, and certifications like these confirm this." Gómez also emphasised that these awards "highlight the work and effort Benidorm puts into keeping its beaches in perfect condition throughout the year, offering the best services and always striving to ensure an excellent user experience."
To obtain these certifications, the three Benidorm beaches have successfully passed the "exhaustive" audits carried out by the ICTE throughout the year, which evaluate, among other things, the quality and cleanliness of the water and sand, hygiene conditions, physical and health safety protocols, facilities, security and first aid services, leisure activities, and the information provided to users.
These awards, Gómez recalled, "are in addition to the rest of the quality certifications held by Benidorm's beaches and which endorse our clear commitment to constant improvement and sustainable management, which we extend to all areas of the city and destination."
