Benidorm transfers before a notary the plot on which the Generalitat will build 91 subsidezed housing

Benidorm cede ante notario la parcela en la que la Generalitat construirá 91 viviendas protegidas

Benidorm City Council has signed before a notary the formal act of transfer of the plot on which the 91 subsidized housing announced in 'Plan Viu' of the Generalitat Valenciana will be built. The plot is located in Poniente and its free transfer to the Generalitat was agreed in full on March 27.

With this act, the City Council transfers the plot to the Valencian Housing and Land Entity (EVHA) and grants the deed of free transfer. The plot in question is intended to construct energy-efficient homes on a social or affordable rental basis. The EVHA accepted the proposed transfer on May 15 by agreement of its Board of Directors.

Located in the Murtal Partial Plan, on Moralet Avenue, it has an area of 4,000 square meters and a buildable area of 5,902.50 useful cubic meters. The plan is to build a 21-story building with 91 homes. The document signed today also states that the building works must be completed before the maximum execution period provided for in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The autonomous entity will be responsible for the conservation and maintenance expenses and the IBI from the transfer until its disposal through the surface.

The document has been signed by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the regional secretary of Housing, Sebastián Fernández (representing EVHA), in the presence of the notary José Ramón Rius.

The Generalitat will invest twelve million euros in the construction of these homes, according to the Minister of Social Services, Equality and Housing, Susana Camarero, during her visit to the plot last April. Of that amount, around four million will come from European funds.
Camarero announced during that visit that his department would give the “highest priority” to this project for the bidding to be as quick as possible, as well as the construction of the homes, since having European financing “there are deadlines that must be met.” to fulfil.”

The mayor and the councillor pointed out that in the future block, it is planned to reserve an "important" percentage for young people, "because they need a life project, they want to emancipate themselves and they cannot pay the high rental prices." Toni Pérez stressed that the new homes will be rented by concession of use "and at the end of 50 or 75 years, this land will revert to the city's heritage."
