Benidorm licita la contratación de la Oficina Técnica de Gestión del Plan Sostenibilidad, el primer proyecto del ‘Benidorm Visión 360’

Benidorm City Council has started the tender procedure for the Technical Management Office of the Sustainability Plan. This is the first action of the 'Benidorm Vision 360' project, a set of projects presented to the second call for Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations, which was approved with a budget of 6,103,783 euros, financed at 100%. % by European Next Generation funds.

The hiring of this technical office is action number 11 of the 13 planned in the 'Benidorm Vision 360' and the estimated value of the contract is 210,000 euros (VAT included). This office will have to provide external technical assistance to the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destinations and will have a coordinator, a senior consultant specializing in the digitalization of Tourist Destinations, a technical manager of European funds and a junior consultant.

The deadline for submitting offers is open until May 20 at 11:55 p.m. and the opening of economic offers will take place on the 24th of this month at 1 p.m. at Benidorm City Hall. Subsequently, it will be the Local Government Board which must approve the award to the best offer.

The execution period of the contract is one year, although the possibility of two more extensions is established that would be approved year by year. The tasks that the company awarded the contract must carry out are promoting the plan, coordinating projects and ensuring that are executed.

The 'Benidorm Vision 360 project comprises 13 actions divided into four axes of action. Axis 1 includes actions of 'Green and sustainable transition' and contemplates projects such as the equipment of shades in public spaces and a study plan for the 'Heat Island' effect in Benidorm (602,000 euros) or the Comprehensive management plan for the water footprint from Benidorm (465,0000 euros).

Axis 2, 'Improving energy efficiency' provides for an infrastructure for bicycle loans (561,542.92 euros) and the renewal of the Levante catenary from Europa Avenue to Ametlla de Mar (1,100,000 euros). Axis 3, related to the 'Digital Transition' contemplates four actions that will amount to 782,189.50 euros, while Axis 4, Competitiveness, has as its most notable project the creation of park-and-ride and recreational areas in El Moralet Park (2,104,700.58 euros).

The Councilor for Innovation, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has indicated that the 'Benidorm Vision 360' project “gives continuity to actions contemplated in our DTI procedures and methodology” in which he highlights “the determined commitment to advance in the adaptation to climate neutrality of tourist activity”.

For the mayor, the 'Benidorm Vision 360' complex "is a well-planned project of actions that will transfer induced effects and transformative capacity seeking to generate new employment in the tourism sector and its surroundings." Undoubtedly, he said, he will influence “improving public facilities, mobility and accessibility to public places and facilities.”

The councillor, finally, has stated that all the 'Benidorm Vision 360' proposals are “aligned with the roadmap that this government has been carrying since 2015 with plans such as the Benidorm DTI +Seguro, the DTI Master Plan, the Strategic Tourism Plan, the Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the Destination Tourist Accessibility Plan or the Universal Accessibility Plan, among others.”
