Benidorm City Council will undertake in this exercise necessary improvement actions in two sports facilities such as the municipal swimming pool and Alcalde Vicente Pérez Devesa Trinquet. To this end, the Local Government Board has approved the request for two subsidies to the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport and the commitment to include both investments in the municipal budgets for this year, as well as to carry out the aforementioned interventions if the grants are granted. requested grants.

Specifically, the City Council will act in the municipal swimming pool of the Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor to provide it with a water recirculation and purification system through impulsion by bottom injectors, install a compensation tank and overflow channel connection to the recirculation and renewal. The cost of this work is 252,195.46 euros and the municipal contribution will be 52,195.46 euros.

The Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, indicated that this investment "will improve and facilitate the operation and maintenance of the pool and, especially, the quality of the water."

In the ratchet, the cover will be replaced, with a total cost of 241,630.84 euros and a municipal contribution of 48,326.16 euros. "Another action that is essential in a facility that is many years old and that needs to undertake a series of improvements to continue hosting competitions of our most indigenous sport" has indicated the mayor.

In the two actions, as established in the resolution of the Ministry, the regional administration will finance a maximum of 200,000 euros per work, the minimum municipal contribution being 20%. Given the need to undertake both interventions, the Local Government Board has approved the commitment to include the two investments in this year's budgets and execute them if the subsidy is granted.

Cebreros reiterated the commitment of the government team to keep the city's sports facilities "in the best condition" and insisted that "this has been the main commitment of the Department in recent years as evidenced by the large number of investments and performances that have been carried out in all municipal sports facilities”.
