Benidorm renews the free public transport agreement for users of the Pepa Esperanza Llinares center

Benidorm City Council has agreed with the Governing Board to renew the agreement with the company Avanza Movilidad to continue with the free public transport service for users of the Pepa Esperanza Llinares municipal center.

The agreement is renewed "given the need to continue providing this service to the users of the center", as explained by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, for which the beneficiaries must prove that they have a recognized disability more significant than 33%. To apply for the card, it will be necessary to provide a certified photocopy of the DNI/NIE, a recent passport-size photograph, and a letter from the center's user association proving their membership.

People with a disability greater than 33% must also present a certified copy of the certificate of the degree of disability or the card that certifies the condition of a person with a disability. Likewise, it will be necessary to provide a bank receipt of the payment corresponding to the type of card requested (new, reprint...).

The card can be used on line 3 when the journey originates or ends at the Pepita Esperanza Llinares center during opening hours and also on lines 2 and 8 when the journey originates or ends at stop 115 located on Calle Juan Antonio Baldoví in the same previous schedule. The beneficiaries must be registered in Benidorm and be residents for at least one year.

The councilor stressed "the firm conviction" of the City Council to continue maintaining this service "which is very necessary for the users of the center" and has highlighted that possession of the card "will allow its holders to make two round trips return per day during opening hours of the center”. According to the agreement, the company will assume the 30% discount and the City Council will be responsible for 70% of the rate, "being the service free for the user, as has always been our will" Ángela Llorca has specified.

The agreement also establishes that disabled users whose certificate shows the need for a third-party contest may have a companion card.

To make use of the card, the beneficiary must pass it, for its control, through the machine enabled for this purpose in urban transport, at zero cost.

The agreement will be valid until December 31, although user cards will not expire as long as their holders meet regulatory requirements.
