Benidorm is preparing for Reggaeton Beach Festival this Thursday with Bad Bunny heading the bill
Guillermo Amor Sports City in Benidorm is preparing to host this Thursday, July 19, Reggaeton Beach Festival, an event that will start at noon and will have the international artist Bad Bunny as a headliner. While the facilities of the Sports City are being prepared for the assembly, today a meeting has been held about security and coordination prior to the event, which involved, among others, the councilors of Events and Festivals, José Ramón González de Zárate, and of Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez; representatives of the National Police, Local Police and Civil Protection; members of the organization; as well as technicians from different municipal departments.
The councilman of Events informed that the attendance of around 9,000 people is expected, and that the concerts will take place "in the athletics track". Around this track will be distributed the zone of hospitality and leisure activities. The organization have detailed that they will install inflatable and giant slides, an artificial jungle where attendees can cool off and the pool area will be opening. In addition, and before the music takes over the stage, there are programmed zumba and dance masterclasses.
During the first hours, the festival will be livened up by dj's. Among the artists that will go through Reggaeton Beach Festival are Piso 21, Sebastian Yatra, Karol G, Juan and Víctor Magan and, of course, Bad Bunny. The concerts will end around midnight.
The Councilor for Events added that the festival "is perfectly organized in terms of security, traffic and health device." Specifically, around thirty police officers, 12 private security guards, 30 SEAS and auxiliary services, a dozen Civil Protection personnel, a medical ambulance and another Basic Life Support (SVB), two emergency technicians have been planned. , a doctor and a nurse.
Regarding mobility, it has been set up as a parking lot in the El Murtal area, on the plot of Juan Pablo II avenue where Camping of the Associació de Penyes is held, from where a taxi service and buses will operate to the festival site. In addition, in La Libertad Avenue there will be also a stop of both services of transport, and will be operative part of the parking of Mercasa.
The councilor pointed out that "we want the event to interrupt as little as possible the everyday life of the city" and generate "the least possible inconvenience to residents in the neighborhood." Therefore, it has been decided to keep the Foietes Park open with police reinforcement.
De Zárate encouraged "residents and tourists from Benidorm and the region" to take advantage of the tickets that are still available and attend this great event, the first of the four planned this summer at Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor. A Sports City that also will host the Low Festival -at the end of July-, the Operación Triunfo tour -on August 4- and the Ricky Martin concert -on the 22nd of the same month-.
