The city shows its solidarity with those affected and condemns all forms of violence on the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism

Benidorm observes a minute of silence in tribute and remembrance of the victims of terrorism

Benidorm guarda un minuto de silencio en homenaje y recuerdo a las víctimas del terrorismo

Benidorm City Council paid tribute this Wednesday to the victims of terrorism with a minute of silence held at the doors of the Town Hall. The local council, led by First Deputy Mayor Ana Pellicer, joined the call promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) on the occasion of the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.

Thus, the city publicly expressed its respect, remembrance, and solidarity with the victims of terrorism, their families, and all those affected by terrorism, as well as its rejection and condemnation of any act of violence.

March 11 was declared by the European Union as the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism following the horrific terrorist attack perpetrated in Madrid on March 11, 2004, in which 192 people died, and 1,893 were injured.
