The mayor presents this year's musical and event program at Fitur, with consolidated festivals, new proposals and internationally recognized artists
‘Benidorm Music & Emotion 2020’:9 festivals, 2 events and 2 national tours
Benidorm continues to strengthen its position as a city of festivals and events. One more year, the Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur) has been the setting chosen to present the already confirmed calendar of ‘Benidorm Music & Emotion 2020’, to which new appointments could be added in the coming months. A calendar with 9 festivals, 2 concerts of national tours and 2 events, as announced today by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Events and Festivals, Jesus Carrobles, who have been accompanied by their promoters.
One more year, the programming of events will start at the end of March and will last until mid-October, with a “complement” to the tourist offer capable of “attracting all kinds of audiences”, and which also operates as a speaker and showcase from which "transfer the image of Benidorm," said Pérez.
The mayor stressed that our offer in this area is “better every year”, with “eight fully consolidated festivals” such as the Low Festival, the Reggaeton Beach Musical, the Ibeira Festival, the Visor Fest, With Much Art, the Fuzzville, Funtastic and the Tribute to the Route. To these festivals is added a ninth, the Rocanrola, a proposal for rap and urban music. As regards great concerts, the tours of Alejandro Sanz and Il Divo, internationally recognized artists, will stop in Benidorm; while the Benidorm Salsa Congress will once again turn the city into the European epicenter of Latin rhythms. Special will also be the celebration of the second event: Benidorm Pirde, which this 2020 celebrates its 10th anniversary.
For his part, the mayor of Events and Festivals has stressed that "we continue working to consolidate this segment" and that Benidorm remains a reference in festivals and events. Carrobles stressed that "we are lucky to have magnificent venues such as the Julio Iglesias auditorium and the Guillermo Amor stadium and Ciudad Deportiva, which also makes us one of the few cities that we can perform urban festivals."
