Benidorm joins in the official mourning for the death of former president of the Generalitat, José Luis Olivas

Benidorm City Council has joined the official mourning period decreed by the Valencian Government for this Sunday, November 30, and supported by the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP), for the death of José Luis Olivas, former President of the Valencian Government.

As the Valencian Government has noted, Olivas served as President from July 2002 to June 2003. He was also a member of the Valencian Parliament (Les Corts) from 1995 to 2003, Minister of Economy and Finance from 1995 to 1999, and Vice President of the Valencian Government from 1999 to 2002.

During the official day of mourning, flags will fly at half-mast on municipal buildings as a sign of mourning and respect.
