Today, the 'technohito' and the network of screens installed by the city play a congratulatory video dedicated to the new monarch of the United Kingdom

Benidorm joins the Coronation of Carlos III with its technological elements

Coronación Carlos III

Benidorm wanted to participate in one of the great events of the year in the United Kingdom: the Coronation of Carlos III as the new monarch. To do this, and like on the occasion of the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, it was made available technological elements for this event. Thus, throughout the day of this Saturday, May 6, Benidorm will launch a congratulatory message to the new king from the 'tecnohito' in the Plaza de la Hispanidad and through the network of screens distributed throughout the city.

The mayor, Toni Pérez, indicated that "once again we show the sincere affection that we feel in Benidorm towards the British people by accompanying them in such an important event as this Saturday". An appointment that "thousands and thousands of citizens of the United Kingdom will follow live from our city, where they have not hesitated to travel taking advantage of the 'extra' festive day that they have been granted by the Coronation".

Toni Pérez stressed that "for many decades, Benidorm has been one of the favorite destinations for British tourism, which is key for us throughout the year". Every year 40% of those who choose Benidorm for their holidays are tourists from the United Kingdom, who represent 80% of the international tourist market”.

The mayor highlighted that "Benidorm is very present and rooted in the British people, who identify our city with happiness".
