Benidorm hosts the first ‘Local Brands Pop-Up’, an event that will bring together 14 businesses
The initiative, promoted by ‘Socmateria’, will be held on Friday, August 21st at l´Hort de Colón, from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Benidorm City Council, through its Department of Commerce, will collaborate on Benidorm's first 'Local Brands + Biomaterials Pop-Up,' an initiative spearheaded by designer and entrepreneur Mireia Hernández, also the creator of 'Socmateria.' The event will bring together 14 local projects and brands at l'Hort de Colón on Friday, August 21, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The event is part of the 'Your Business Grows' campaign, through which the Department of Commerce aims to support and raise the profile of the city's commercial and business sector, creating new, local meeting spaces for merchants, entrepreneurs, creators, artists, and attendees, who will have the opportunity to discover the various projects being developed in the city.
This event features 14 local projects and brands from various sectors, including commerce, hospitality, crafts, culture, food, and creative arts: ‘Óptica Voramar’, ‘Casa Cremà’, ‘Lecker Atelier’, ‘GallinilayVichy’, ‘Mumi&Co’, ‘Té y Sensaciones’, ‘La Retora’, ‘La Furona’, ‘Bebélandia’, ‘Pastelería Valderrama’, ‘Miedos Manuscritos’, ‘La Tienda Amarilla’, ‘Indiverso DJ Festival’, and ‘SOCMATERIA’.
The pop-up format will allow the public to easily access the space during the two-hour event. Entry is free and limited to capacity, with new attendees admitted as others leave, always respecting the maximum capacity of the space.
In addition to the exhibition and sale of products, the event will feature tastings, demonstrations, and background music provided by Indiverso DJ Festival, creating a unique space for businesses and social interaction. As Mireia Hernández pointed out, “the purpose of this event is to connect both the general public and local businesses, allowing them to interact live and in person; it’s a way to bring them closer together.”
The Councillor for Commerce, Javier Jordà, highlighted the City Council’s commitment to these types of initiatives and encouraged residents and visitors to come to l’Hort de Colón to discover the talent and projects developed in Benidorm. “This first ‘Pop-Up’ marks the beginning of a project that aims to continue, with the expectation of holding future events that will further showcase the commerce, crafts, culture, and local talent of Benidorm.”
