The grant includes items such as administrative staff, rental of premises and payment of supplies
Benidorm grants the first aid to associations for personnel, rent and supplies expenses
The Local Government Board (JGL) of Benidorm approved in its meeting yesterday an expenditure of 18,000 euros in grants included in the call for associations formed by companies and / or entrepreneurs. These grants are used to pay the expenses of its own personnel with administrative functions and other expenses of the association during 2021.
Thus, this first approval of spending has benefited the Independent Association of Merchants (AICO), and the Association of Tourist Apartments (Aptur), which will receive 9,000 euros each to "contribute to maintaining jobs and administrative staff generated by these entities ”, said the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez.
Associations that have not yet applied for this subsidy will be able to do so until November 15, the date until which the term will remain open, as stated in the rules that govern them.
It should be remembered that the grants are aimed at non-profit business associations and entrepreneurs in the city that have an active stable establishment or premises open to the public during business hours and that carry out support activities for entrepreneurs and companies in the city.
In addition, this year, as a novelty, the rental costs of the establishment or premises in which the entity has its headquarters in Benidorm, as well as the supply of electricity and water, have been included in the call.
Gómez recalled that in recent years "the City Council has intensified collaboration with business associations and entrepreneurs in Benidorm, among other formulas through the development of joint actions to promote entrepreneurship, training and employment.
“With this line of aid that has been reinforced this year, we are helping to maintain the jobs and activity of these entities in these months in which both sectors have gone through many difficulties and, at the same time, we also help maintain the service they provide to their associates ”, the councilor stressed. Gómez has remarked that this year the aid "in attention to the difficult circumstances caused by the Covid-19 crisis, has increased the maximum eligible amount per association to 9,000 euros, which is 2,000 euros more than in the two previous calls" .
