Benidorm habilita dos zonas de sombra en las áreas infantiles del Parque de Foietes

Benidorm City Council has enabled shaded areas in the two main playgrounds of Foietes Park, the closest to the access from Libertad Avenue. The mayor, Toni Pérez, said that "we have met the requests that have made us neighbors and users, as both areas receive sun throughout the day and it was necessary to install elements that mitigate their effects especially at mid day "

Pérez has indicated that "these shadow areas make it possible for families and children to enjoy these children's spaces for more hours a day and with greater comfort, something that we have already seen and that the users themselves have transferred to us." At the same time, "these shadow elements allow us to protect children's games adapted from the action of the sun, thus prolonging its useful life".

The mayor explained that "we have chosen to generate these shadow areas with 'sail' type structures, made of a technical fabric of colors according to the aesthetics of the park and the playgrounds." Some areas that have an area of 200 and 208 square meters respectively.

This action has involved an investment of 48,380.64 euros, made from the budget of the Department of Urban Scene that runs the councilman José Ramón González de Zárate.
