Benidorm congratulates PS Water after being proclaimed Best Club in the Spanish Second Division Championship

The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, received a delegation from the local synchronized swimming club, PS Water, this Friday after the club was recently named Best Club in the Spanish Second Division Championships. This recognition acknowledges the excellent work carried out throughout the season and positions Benidorm as a national leader in artistic swimming. The reception took place in the Mayor's office, and the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, was also present. Both congratulated the young swimmers, as well as their coaches and families, on their successes this season.

In addition to being named Best Club in Spain in their division, PS Water has also achieved other highly significant sporting results this season. Specifically, their swimmers won the Spanish Championships in the Junior category in the Combo, Team, and Duet events. They also secured a Gold Medal in Figures, won by Yana Shyrei, and a Silver Medal in Figures, won by Llura Gregori.

The mayor publicly applauded “the effort and all the work” put in to achieve these titles, thanking them for “taking Benidorm’s name to the highest level.” He also encouraged the young women, aged between 12-13 and 15, to continue training, to continue their academic studies, and now, “to enjoy a well-deserved vacation.”

“Success isn’t just this trophy and these medals; success lies in what you do every day,” Toni Pérez told them.

For their part, PS Water emphasized that the club’s successes this season “are the result of the effort, perseverance, and commitment of our athletes, the coaching staff, and the families who are part of the club, and represent a source of pride for the entire city of Benidorm.”
