The City Council finalizes the second phase of these grants, which are open to new sectors not included in the initial resolution

Benidorm concludes the first phase of the ‘Parenthesis Grants’ with the approval of the 6th remittance

25 May 2021
Benidorm finaliza la primera fase de las ‘Ayudas Paréntesis’ con la aprobación de la 6ª remesa

The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved today the sixth remittance of 'Parenthesis Grants' with which “the first phase of these grants is concluded, in which around 2 million euros have been injected into the productive fabric local". This is what the mayor, Toni Pérez, has said today, who recalled that “as we announced last week, we are going to launch a second phase of these grants to reach the largest possible number of companies and self-employed and help mitigate the difficult situation that they are going through as a result of the pandemic, and thereby collaborate in maintaining activity and employment ”.
As detailed by Toni Pérez, in this second phase “we open these aids to professionals and companies with up to 10 workers from the sectors included in the first call but who do not have their tax domicile in Benidorm but do carry out their activity in our city and  have an establishment in Benidorm ”.
In addition, "we extend this aid to companies and self-employed people with tax domicile in Benidorm and who are attached to CNAEs that were not initially included by the Generalitat Valenciana in the‘ Parenthesis Aid ’", he added. Specifically, as already pointed out last week, in this new call, sectors related to commerce, taxi, hairdressers and beauty centers or washing and dry cleaners will be able to benefit from these aids.
The mayor has confirmed that "at the moment this second call for the 'Parenthesis Grants' is being finalized, which will come out in the next few days" and to which "it is planned to allocate the remainder of about 3.2 million euros that has not yet it has been consumed ”. At this point, he recalled that "within the‘ Parenthesis Grants ’program, Benidorm was entitled to a total of 5.2 million euros, contributed by the City Council, the Alicante Provincial Council and the Generalitat”.
The procedure and amounts of this second phase of 'Parenthesis Grants' will be exactly the same as in the first, in such a way that the self-employed and companies with up to 10 workers will receive an additional 2,000 and 200 euros aid for each registered employee. .
Data of the 6th remittance
The sixth and last remittance of the first phase –except that appels can be presented- amounts to 58,257.50 euros, and includes 31 companies and professionals, who are added to the more than 800 previous beneficiaries, thus reaching 2,024 .267.08 euros granted.
The list of professionals and merchants of the 6th remittance will be published shortly on the Notice Board of the municipal website (https://sede.benidorm.org). From that moment on, the deadline for submitting appeals to the denial of a grant is 30 days.
