Benidorm approves the bases to hire 10 temporary agents of the Local Police for the high season

02 March 2017
Benidorm aprueba las bases para contratar a 10 agentes interinos de la Policía Local para la temporada alta

They will reinforce the section of Beaches and will serve six months of uninterrupted form from Easter

The Local Government Board of Benidorm has approved on Thursday the bases that will govern the selection tests for the recruitment of 10 temporary agents of the Local Police who will reinforce the staff during the high season.

The Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, explained that these agents will be attached to the Beach Section and that, unlike last year, "will provide their service for six months uninterrupted from Easter and until after summer ".

Martínez said that "the bases are identical to last year's" and added that this is a "high quality selection procedure" since, despite being a temporary recruitment, applicants "are required the same tests and requirements than in an opposition to a fixed place ". At least candidates must pass a psychometric test, physical tests, a medical examination, and a personal interview in which their level of English will be assessed.

The mayor said that "all the agents that are presented in Benidorm" are "very trained and prepared." Proof of this preparation "were the results of last year," in which many of the candidates "approved an opposition in another locality and we had to reinforce the workforce with service commissioners of other municipalities."

The bases approved today "have the approval of all the competent bodies", including the Personnel Board. Martinez has said that the bases will be sent today or tomorrow for publication in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), and has announced that for this call is expected to reach a number of applicants similar to those of the previous year, in which there were About 300 candidates.
