To date, more than 1,000 companies have accessed these benefits, with which nearly 2.5 million euros have already been injected into the local productive fabric

Benidorm again extends the term of ‘Parenthesis Grants’, which can be requested until August 16

30 July 2021
Benidorm amplía de nuevo el plazo de las ‘Ayudas Paréntesis’, que se podrán solicitar hasta el 16 de agosto

Benidorm City Council will again extend the deadline to request 'Parenthesis Aid', thus favoring that "the largest possible number of companies, professionals and freelancers participate in this call with which it is intended to minimize the impact of Covid-19 on the local productive fabric ”, as pointed out by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez.
Thus, the Local Government Board (JGL) will approve this coming Monday to extend the application period until August 16. An application that must be made through the municipal website, https://sede.benidorm.org. The bases of this second call and the list of activities and sectors that can benefit from these grants are also available at the same Headquarters, aimed at businesses with up to 10 workers or professionals who have their tax or activity domicile in Benidorm.
Gómez explained that "the extension of the deadlines will not delay the resolution of the aid, since the applications are processed and evaluated as they are received." In this way, it is expected that next week a new batch of this second call for ‘Parenthesis Grants’ will be approved.
Likewise, she has reported that "during the first call and with the first remittance of this second phase, aid has already been approved to more than 1,000 companies and professionals in Benidorm for an amount close to 2.5 million euros". An amount that will rise to almost 3 million as soon as the second remittance is approved next week.
The councillor has stressed that "the City Council has tried at all times that these 'Parenthesis Grants' reach the maximum number of companies and self-employed in our city, making two calls for this and extending terms and beneficiary sectors, incorporating all the CNAEs included by the Consell on the list of sectors affected by the pandemic ”.
For this second phase of ‘Parenthesis Grants’ the financial allocation is about 3.2 million euros, financed by the Generalitat,  Alicante Provincial Council and the City Council. The aid amounts to 2,000 euros per company or self-employed person, to which is added 200 euros 'extra' for each worker registered as of December 31, 2020.
