Associació de Penyes presents Penyista Culture, a cultural week full of cultural events prior to the Day of the Clubs

The Department of Culture has presented this morning in collaboration with the Department of Fiestas and Association of Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge' cultural programming 'Penya Culture', a new initiative that has been carried out for the first time by the Clubs and that has welcomed the City of Benidorm.

Jaime Jesús Pérez, Councilor for Culture stressed that "since we proposed this initiative, we thought it was a great thing to be able to unite the culture with the Patron Saint Festivities. For this purpose, a series of events have been organized throughout the week both in the lounge acts of the Casa del Fester as of the Town Hall. "

On Monday 21 at 8:30 pm at the Casa del Fester there will be a theater, represented by members of the Carta Pobla and the Associació de Penyes called "What could have happened". On Wednesday 23 at 20.30 in the hall of the City Hall will be the turn for the work "Peach in syrup" by Benimusic. On Thursday 24 there will be a concert at 20:30 pm of the Youth Band of the Musical Society La Nova and to close the cycle of events scheduled on Friday 25 will be the turn of the group of xirimiters, Xirimon Concert.

Jesús Carrobles, Councilor for Fiestas, wanted to congratulate Associació de Penyes for this new initiative "that brings culture to the party, and it is appreciated that culture is involved in the party, because I have always argued that the party is another way to make culture. "

Coly Pérez wanted to advance the main events that will take place next Saturday, October 26 on the occasion of the Day of the Clubs, "the events will start at 08.00 with an Despertá, followed by the traditional Penyes breakfast at  Casa del Fester. at 09.15 hours the parade to the church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, where at 10.00 a mass will be held in honor of the Virgin of the Suffrage and the deceased peñistas. From 11.00 they will open in the same auditorium the inflatables for the little ones, and at 13.00 the traditional 'picaeta' will be held for peñistas and authorities.In the afternoon, at 17.00 it is planned to hold a Football-Barn and one hour later the 'Tardeo' will begin with Dj Covi and the musical performance of Locos de Atar ".

Like every year, the playbacks will start as a main course. At 20.00 it will be the turn for the little ones in which a total of 11 groups participate in the Children's Playback together with the children's queen and her court of honor, ending with the awards ceremony.

Later on at 10:00 pm the Adult Playback will start, which this year will have two categories: 6 musical and 5 humorous.

A fireworks castle and the music of the DJ. Manu Díaz of 'Los 40 Benidorm' will put the end of the party to a day in which the Peñista collective is the main protagonist of the day.
