Aptur, with the “For You” campaign, has 30 apartments for rest and recovery of health personnel and emergency services

06 April 2020
Aptur, con la campaña “Por Vosotros”, dispone 30 apartamentos para descanso y recuperación de personal sanitario y de servicios de emergencias

Aptur, the Association of Tourist Apartments Companies of the Costa Blanca, has communicated to Benidorm City Council that it makes available to this sanitary emergency 30 tourist apartments in Benidorm, equipped and prepared for the recovery and rest of medical and health personnel, as well as police, public officials of essential services and workers of these services who need them for these tasks.

Aptur's initiative is to complement the offer of free accommodation available to health professionals, technicians and public servants who are at the forefront of work and effort in the containment of the Covid-19.

Those interested should register on the solidarity platform www.porvosotros.org/ www.ambvosaltres.org, which is made up of several associations from Fevitur, the employers of the Tourist Apartments led by Aptur.

The availability in Benidorm is of 22 one-bedroom apartments and 8 two-bedroom apartments that add up to 38 beds according to the security ratio of 1 bedroom per person.

The objective is to make available to those who are facing the epidemic the opportunity to have an apartment where they can rest, recover or isolate themselves from their family group to avoid any type of contagion. The proposal is altruistic and free. The apartments are fully equipped and prepared and receive the appropriate cleaning and disinfection before and after accommodation.

This Aptur initiative is in addition to the one carried out by the City Council and the Hosbec hotel management, which has made it possible to make 70 tourist apartments available to the health personnel of the La Vila Joiosa regional hospital, the Hospital Clínica Benidorm, IMED Levante and all city health centers. This offer of apartments is managed through the municipal Collective Help Network (#RAC) and for the moment it has responded to the request of more than 20 health professionals.

The #RAC, which already has more than 450 volunteers, is also taking care of the space provided in the 'Raúl Mesa' pavilion for homeless people, as well as guaranteeing the basic care and attention of more than two hundred people in vulnerable situations.
