The jury of the 23rd ‘Villa de Benidorm’ Festive Music Composition Competition has unanimously decided to award the first prize of the competition to the Moorish march presented under the motto ‘Anns’, according to the Culture Councillor, Jaime Jesús Pérez, who indicated that “14 pieces have participated in this edition of the competition”.

The Culture Councillor explained that “as in previous editions, both the authorship and the final title of the work will be announced during the extraordinary festive music concert; a concert that will be performed by the Benidorm Musical Union, in which the piece will be premiered and which will be held on 28 September in the Óscar Esplá amphitheatre in the Parque de l’Aigüera”.

As established in the rules of the competition, the author of the winning piece will receive a cash prize of 2,000 euros and a trophy.

In addition to the Councillor for Culture, the technical jury for this edition was made up of the professors and composers Juan Antonio Espinosa, Dunia Pérez and Francisco Amaya; and the local musician Javier Cidrón representing the Association of Moors and Christians.
