520 shared images to show the city that awaits the world once the pandemic is over

150 amateur photographers have already exhibited their work in the virtual exhibition #BenidormTeEspera

26 April 2020
150 fotógrafos aficionados han expuesto ya sus trabajos en la muestra virtual #BenidormTeEspera

The virtual exhibition #BenidormTeEspera is celebrating its first month. Until today 520 photographs have been published by 150 collaborators, users of the social networks of the City Council, who have wanted to share with all citizens their good moments lived in the city and what Benidorm can offer the world once we leave the pandemic behind.

#BenidormTeEspera was born with the aim of making the health crisis more bearable and showing the world the benefits of the city and what it can offer you when the pandemic passes. Users send images of the most emblematic and suggestive corners, or those that provoke better memories, with messages of solidarity, support and encouragement every day.

Each of these photographs collaborate in the promotion of our city and all of them are very special for senders. They seek to project a memory of happiness on their stay and visit and allow to make the city known to everyone. The City Council composes a video every day that is published on social networks, promoting the city as the tourist destination it is. The exhibitions have been viewed and shared by thousands of users.

Images have arrived at #BenidormTeEspera from Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, Bulgaria, Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, the Netherlands, Romania, Germany, Austria ..., and, of course, from all over Spain. Works of excellent professional invoice have been presented, some accompanied by the technical specifications of the composition, although most have been snapshots taken from mobile phones, the vast majority of very good quality.

Participating in this virtual sample is very simple. An image can be sent every day, while the situation lasts, to the email address benidormteespera@beniodorm.org. The photographs can be accompanied by an explanatory text that must not exceed 300 characters and can be submitted in JPG or TIFF formats.
