The mayor makes public the distribution of councils among the thirteen members of the government team

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has made public this morning before the media the distribution of councils among the thirteen councilors who make up the municipal government team and whose resolution has been signed this morning.

Thus, the organization of municipal competitions will be distributed as follows:

Toni Pérez will maintain the tourism portfolio.

Ana Pellicer Pérez will be councilor of the Presidency, Historical and Cultural Heritage, Citizen Participation, Foreign Residents, Citizen Services and Statistics.

José Ramón González de Zárate Unamuno will hold the competencies of Public Space, Works, Universal Accessibility, Mobility, Street Cleaning and Water Cycle.

Aida García Mayor will manage Finance, Contracting, European Funds and Innovation and Quality.

Lorenzo Martínez Sola will be mayor of Citizen Security, Emergencies, Commerce and Openings.

Mónica Gómez López assumes the competencies of Employment and Local Development, Municipal Administrative Extensions, Health, Environment and Beaches.

Jesús Carrobles Blanco will manage Fiestas, Plaza de Toros and Eventos.

Ángela Llorca Seguí: Social Welfare, Senior Citizens, Cooperation, Immigration, and Cemeteries.

María Lourdes Caselles Domenech: Urbanism and Housing.

Jaime Jesús Pérez Esteban: Culture, Youth, General Heritage.

María Dolores Cebreros Moral: Sports and Consumption.

María Teresa Moreno García-Vera: Education and Childhood.

Ángela Zaragozí Martínez: Organization and Management of Human Resources, Transparency and Equality.

The spokesperson of the municipal group, and therefore of the local government, will be Lourdes Caselles Domenech, while the deputy spokesperson will be Mónica Gómez López

The mayor explained that "I fulfill, as I have said on numerous occasions, my commitment to maintain the tourism portfolio, which I am convinced should be the responsibility of the mayor."

Pérez has highlighted the creation of four new councils such as European Funds, Innovation and Quality, Foreign Residents and Transparency. The mayor said that "the volume of investment in Benidorm through European funds has led to the creation of an area that will have a transversal work with different councils and whose work will be especially important to realize such emblematic projects as the EDUSI ". Innovation is, according to the mayor, "an unmistakable step for a city that is already DTI and should be a leader in the field," while Foreign Residents is "a programmatic commitment for our city to be inclusive for and for people" . Also, from the Department of Transparency will promote "transfer as much information as possible on the administration and management to the public."

The mayor of Benidorm has announced that, in the near future, the Popular Group will make public the holdings of the City Hall, while at the same time he assured that "at this moment there is dialogue with the two opposition groups to try to reach the full organization with the maximum possible agreement ".

After the mayor spoke the spokeswoman, Lourdes Caselles, and the deputy spokeswoman, Mónica Gómez,  thanked the trust placed by the mayor and the rest of the members of the government team and have been "already" at the disposal of the media.
