The mayor of Benidorm delivers the pennants to the young people of Benidorm Lions Club who will travel around the world
The plenary hall of Benidorm City Hall has been the stage chosen for the delivery of flags and pennants to the 22 young people of Benidorm, who will participate in the coming days in the camps and shelters in 20 countries, at the hands of the mayor of Benidorm in office, Toni Pérez, the vice-governor of district 116 of the Club de Leones, Ivania Bolaños and the president of the Benidorm Lions Club, Pilar Ribagorda, These young people will travel to different countries around the world, such as Japan, Mexico, USA, India , Denmark or Italy among others, being also ambassadors of the city.
Toni Pérez stressed that "it is a vital experience for these young people who are in the middle of the training period, and who will know more about other cultures, meet other people, another way of thinking and living".
Parallel to the experience that these young Benidormenses will experience, Benidorm Lions Club organizes its camp that will take place from July 14 to 28, in which 25 young people between 18 and 22 years old from 22 countries on 4 continents will participate, with the goal of creating international citizens between cultures and throughout the world. In particular, the camp will be represented by Germany, Brazil, Greece, Tunisia, Hungary, Mexico, Lithuania, Taiwan, Austria, India, Estonia, Israel, Romania, the United States, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Norway, Holland, France and Switzerland.
This is an initiative that gives them the opportunity to get to know Spain from the internal point of view and to be with young people from all over the world, and which Toni Pérez has pointed out, "a camp, which is being a successful success summer after summer, and that we have the opportunity to be hospitable with the young lions or linked with the leonism that visit us ".
