Employment bets one more year for the initiatives of young people in the XV Entrepreneur Ideas Competition
The Department of Employment, Promotion and Local Development of Benidorm City Hall keeps open until Monday July 1 the deadline for receipt of projects for the XV Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition, contest that aims to encourage the creation of companies, promote self-employment and facilitate labor insertion of the entrepreneurs of the municipality.
In 2005 the Department of Employment promoted the first edition of this contest, which was created with the purpose of encouraging young people in Benidorm to take their first steps in the world of business and reward their entrepreneurial initiatives, promoting through them both the creation of new jobs such as the diversification of the business fabric of the city and its surroundings, as well as focusing on self-employment as a form of access to the labor market.
The prizes that will obtain the best enterprising ideas are 2,500 € and an iPad for the winner or winner of the first prize and 1,500 € and an iPad Mini for the second. In addition, two second prizes are awarded, with € 500 each, which will reward projects that highlight the aspects of the Benidorm Tourism Promotion and Social Responsibility.
This contest is kept as a showcase for new business ideas and in the words of the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, "is raised again in 2019 as an impetus for the creation of companies, the promotion of self-employment and the labor insertion of those entrepreneurs who have a business idea that is viable and, of course, generates employment in the municipality of Benidorm and the Marina Baixa region, with whose development we are all committed ".
The deadline for receiving projects ends on July 1, with the bases published at the following address of the municipal website: https://benidorm.org/en/node/57485
To make this contest possible, we have the collaboration of various institutions, both public and private, which support the initiative of the City of Benidorm, which reflects the collaborative spirit that must also be present in the initiatives that submit to the contest. Specifically, La Obra Social "La Caixa" collaborates with an economic contribution for the final prizes, the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies (INVATTUR), the business association JOVEMPA MARINA BAIXA, which will be awarded to the person responsible for the winning idea of the contest, One year of free membership, as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa (MEMBA) which also grants the project that wins the contest one year of free membership in this association of women entrepreneurs. The European Center for Innovative Enterprises (CEEI) of Elche also collaborates, an entity with which the Employment and Local Development Agency of Benidorm maintains collaborations in various fields.
