Benidorm condemns with one minute of silence two new cases of gender violence
The municipal corporation of Benidorm has held a recess in the plenary session today to keep a minute of silence, at the gates of the council, for the last two victims of gender violence who have passed away last weekend at the hands of their Couples.
On Saturday, in the town of Toledo Seseña, was found dead a woman of Ecuadorian nationality who showed obvious signs of violence. Police detained hours later their partner, also of Ecuadorian nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.
Yesterday, in the town of O Carballiño (Orense), a 55-year-old woman died asphyxiated by her husband. Police arrested the attacker, 59, when he tried to kill himself with a weapon.
With these two new cases, there are already six women victims of gender violence so far in 2017.
