Benidorm celebrates the festivities of San Isidro Labrador

This Tuesday, with the mass in honor of the patron, the festivities in honor of San Isidro Labrador, parties of deep tradition and popularity, that take place in the Hermitage of Sanz.
Once the mass was over, the commission announced the "Llaurador d'honor", which as usual in this area of ​​Benidorm Orchard, are people who live or are linked to the Hermitage of Sanz.
This year this important position, which recognizes the work carried out by our traditions, in the garden, has fallen to Francisco Alvado Barber.
Once the acknowledgments were completed, the members of the festival commission offered a wine of honor to the more than two hundred people who gathered at this popular spot in the municipality.
During this weekend the celebration of these traditional festivities, impregnate the city with a tourist attraction that attracts many visitors, surprised by the colorful and striking of the pilgrimage, which is undoubtedly one of the central acts of these parties.

Pilgrimage

The pilgrimage takes place on Sunday, day 20, leaving at Avenida de Bilbao, at 10:00 am, to the Hermitage of Sanz, in a journey with cars, horses and the typical implements of the garden. The pilgrimage will go through different streets of the town, towards the Hermitage of Sanz, although before the pilgrims made a stop at the Ametlla de Mar Avenue, to recover strength to finish at the Hermitage where the prize will be given to the best decorated car and then will take place the traditional auction of earthenware pitchers and other typical products.
