The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, has held a meeting with the president of the Business Association of Travel Agencies of Benidorm (Avibe), Juan José Pérez Parker, to strengthen the lines of collaboration between both institutions aimed at developing initiatives in formative matter. Currently, Avibe has a total of 27 travel agencies associated, representing 88% of the national and foreign Tour Operators on the Costa Blanca.

Mónica Gómez commented that "last April, an agreement was signed by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, with the association Avibe with the aim of promoting training actions that contribute to the creation of employment in the sector and improve the qualification and knowledge of the participants ".

Precisely today the dates have been specified for the realization of the different actions, which will focus on subjects such as the intercultural protocol applied to tourism companies, during two days to be held in October; and a third, scheduled for November 26, in which representatives of the different companies in the travel agency sector will present the employment opportunities offered by them.

Although these activities are mainly aimed at Avibe's associates, they are also open to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from outside the entity, as well as to all those interested in working in the sector.

The president of the association, Juan José Pérez Parker, thanked Benidorm City Council for "its commitment to the sector" that it represents. He also stressed that "the realization of specific training programs focused on the tourism sector in collaboration with the AEDL is having positive results, both for our members and for the people who have participated in the training programs that we have been jointly developing for three years now. years".
