The administrative extension of Beniardá reopens after the improvement works
The municipal administrative extension of Foietes-Colonia Madrid, located on Beniardá Avenue, has reopened its doors after the improvement works carried out by the City Council that have allowed updating these facilities and making them completely accessible. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilor of Administrative Extensions, Mª Jesús Pinto; and the owner of Escena Urbana, José Ramón González de Zárate; they have come today to these facilities to see the result of the works, which have involved an investment of close to 48,000 euros.
The mayor pointed out that "with these works we have completed the adequacy of our administrative extensions, since Foietes-Colonia Madrid was the only one that remained pending renovation". Pérez recalled that "in the last three years we have intervened in all administrative extensions of Benidorm, updating the facilities and making them completely accessible."
These works have acted on accessibility, pavement, exterior carpentry, painting the facilities, waterproofing the roof and air conditioning. In addition, the wall surrounding the administrative extension in Capitán Cortés Street has been removed, recovering that space for pedestrian traffic and facilitating the passage of wheelchairs and buggies.
The mayor has informed that the administrative extension of Foietes-Colonia Madrid "is the one that carries out greater volume of procedures and attentions throughout the year, since in addition to the municipal services also has those offered by the PROP of the Generalitat Valenciana" . Thus, and according to the annual report of activities, in 2018 there were about 4,000 steps of the register, letters of payment and other municipal procedures related to areas such as Urban Planning, Education, Mobility or Sports; and more than 6,600 procedures of the PROP and other supramunicipal organisms.
