The Spanish Championship of Children's Karate has gathered this weekend to more than 5,000 spectators and 800 athletes from all the autonomous communities in Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm. For the tatamis arranged in the facilities of the Palau have passed participants of all categories from benjamines to juveniles, in a championship organized by the Royal Spanish Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines RFK, with the collaboration of the regional federation, the City Council and promoted by the Trinidad Alonso Foundation.

The Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, has indicated that the event "has exceeded even the expectations of attendees that we had marked" and thanked again the Royal Spanish Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines RFK, which "has chosen our city to celebrate this championship. "

Cabrillo said that "our intention is to continue hosting competitions of this type, which project the name of Benidorm in the world of sports, which promote grassroots sports and serve to bring our city to athletes with greater projection of the country."
