From its social networks, the City Council disseminates the manifesto and the video of Aspanion

El Castell, El Tossal and the City Council, in golden colour in support of children fighting cancer

15 February 2021
El Castell, El Tossal i l'Ajuntament, es tinyen de daurat en suport als xiquets que lluiten contra el càncer...

El Castell and Tossal in La Cala will light up gold today to celebrate the International Day of Childhood Cancer that has been commemorated around the world since 2001 promoted by the International Organization for Childhood Cancer (CCI, for its acronym in English) , an entity made up of 177 organizations of parents of children affected by the disease from 90 countries on five continents.

In Benidorm, it is the Local Board of Aspanion (Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Valencian Community) who traditionally organizes the events of this day that this year, due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19, will be commemorated in a virtual.

Benidorm City Council, in collaboration with the association, is promoting the manifesto and the video that the entity has made to publicize this day. Likewise, emblematic buildings such as El Castell, El Tossal in La Cala, or the main façade of the town hall, will be illuminated this night in gold, a color that represents the hope and struggle of the youngest cancer patients, honoring their courage in the face of the disease .
