The Festes Commission recovers the Fira de Pasqua this weekend after two years
The Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals has recovered this weekend the traditional Fira de Pasqua, after two years without being able to be held due to the pandemic. A fair of typical products has been installed in the Elche Park and that has officially opened at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, April 9, with the presence of the Queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Aila Merenciano and Chloe D' Hebboudt and his Courts of Honor.
Also present at the inauguration were the mayor Toni Pérez, the councillor for Fiestas Jesús Carrobles and numerous members of the municipal corporation, in addition to the president of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, José Vicente Fuster, and representatives of the Associaciò de Penyes Verge del Sofratge, in addition to hundreds of neighbours and residents who did not want to miss the occasion.
Today, on Saturday and tomorrow Sunday, neighbours and residents will find dozens of stalls selling sausages, artisan bread, pastries, cheeses, chocolates, salted meats, oils, wicker and other traditional products of the land, as well as jewellery, kitchenware and books. In addition, the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals has installed a bar with popular prices and will continue with the sale of palms that it is carrying out throughout this week in La Palmera, Hort de Colón and La Barqueta.
