The Espai Jove of Benidorm, hosted yesterday afternoon an exhibition of the canine unit of the Local Police, within the activities organized by the Youth Council headed by Ana Pellicer, in collaboration with the Local Police and the Department of Public Safety directed by Lorenzo Martínez.
The objective of this exhibition was to mentalize and raise awareness among young people so that they do not fall into the consumption of narcotics, as well as citizen protection and security, especially in parks and the vicinity of high schools and colleges.
During the exhibition also explained how to socialize, educate and care for animals, their adaptation and the work they are doing with the Local Police.
Seven dogs of different breed like German Shepherd or Belgian Shepherd Malinois form this canine unit accompanied by four trained agents and with the qualification that the norm demands for the vigilance in parks, squares and gardens and in which also they give training days in schools and institutes
