The students of the IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch will realize personalized promotional videos of each establishment

The traditional trade promotion campaign starts at the Municipal Market

15 February 2018
La campaña de promoción del comercio tradicional arranca en el Mercado Municipal

The traditional trade promotion campaign programmed by the Councils of Commerce and Employment, in collaboration with the students of the Marketing and Business degree of the IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, has started in the Municipal Market. Eight of its establishments have participated in the recording of videographic reports that will serve to promote their products.

The councilors of Commerce and Employment and Local Development, Ana Pellicer and Mª Jesús Pinto, accompanied the students Ana Aguirre, Daniela Pincio, Génesi Jiménez and Lobna Ez-zahouani, in the recording studio that has been installed in the market where the owners of the market stands have presented the products they sell and all before the eyes of neighbors and tourists who made their purchases from early in the morning.

"It is obvious," said Ana Pellicer, "that if we talk about tradition, we should start this campaign in the Municipal Market", because it is precisely "in the center of our city where commerce is born" in Benidorm. The councilwoman explained that each week they will visit an area of the city and will offer merchants the possibility of making these reports that will be distributed on social networks of the City Council and Onda Benidorm multimedia platform. With this campaign "it benefits to the commerce" but also "to the consumers", Pellicer pointed out because "everybody in their house, on the social networks" can get to know a commerce or a product that they did not know that it exists in Benidorm. "It is a very positive campaign for all," the councilwoman stressed.

For her part, Mª Jesús Pinto, as head of Employment, emphasized the large number of jobs "created" by the sector in Benidorm and that a campaign of these characteristics "is necessary" because the traditional commerce is shown and she expects the initiative can be adapted later to the most innovative establishments because "commerce is the light, the life and the soul of our streets".

The Municipal Market establishments adhered to the campaign are Carnes Ávila, Hermanos Fuster Carnicería, Pollería Hermanos García, Che ké bo Bakery, Frutería Navalón, Huevos y Legumbres Mª Carmen, Charcutería Paco and Zapatería Nides.
