The works of the urban stretch that will join Paseo de Poniente and Vicente Pérez Devesa avenue begin
The urbanization works of Poniente Action 1 Unit, which will allow linking Paseo de Poniente and Vicente Pérez Devesa avenue, have already begun. It is a section of urban land of 60,000 square meters of surface in which it has been projected the opening of two new roads, connected to each other by a third intermediate street, which will link Paseo de Poniente with Vía Parque, thus improving the mobility and completing the urban layout of this area of Benidorm.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Urban Development, Lourdes Caselles, have been interested today in the planning of these urbanization works, which are the responsibility of TM Real Estate Group and in which priority will be given to opening of the new roads and the canalization of Rajarell ravine.
According to those responsible for the work transferred to the mayor and the councilor, before the end of the year the road will run parallel to the sports facilities of the urbanization Las Lomas and the roundabout that will connect this street with Rajarell Avenue, which will be expanded and renewed. Besides on similar dates it is expected to complete the canalization of the ravine that will be integrated into the other road planned in the Action Unit.
These two streets will have a width of between 16 and 24 meters and in addition to the roadway for road traffic include bidirectional bike lanes three meters wide with protections, and wide and accessible sidewalks of between three and six meters. These approaches will have shrub gardening and two or three lines of trees. Thus, the planting of 340 new trees of different species is planned, and the recovery of about 40 more. Additionally, about 1,000 square meters of landscaped spaces will be created.
In the new roads, 112 parking spaces have been designed, an adapted bus stop at the intersection of the interior road with Paseo Marítimo, and two electric vehicle charging points.
Likewise, the urbanization includes the implementation of all public services, with a network of LED lighting and elements of the Smart City. Specifically, there will be two Wi-Fi hotspots, a high-capacity data network and a municipal bicycle loan station.
In addition to the surface allocated to public facilities, the Unit of Action 1 Poniente has residential floor and hotel use.
The redeveloped project of urbanization of the Unit of Action 1 Poniente was approved by the Local Government Board, after the new developer agent updated the project to the requirements of the Hydrographic Confederation of Júcar (CHJ) in relation to channeling of ravines . This Action Unit is beautiful and connects with the Partial Plan 2/1, whose urbanization will also be borne by TM Real Estate Group.
