The Castell de Benidorm hosts next Saturday, June 16, the first catwalk of the National Fashion Award of Moda Baño New Talents of Spain, which will introduce young creators who come up with new bath costume collections. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has presented this morning a contest that aims to be "a great opportunity and a springboard for new designers of a very important sector for our industry, such as fashion", and stressed that this catwalk "has also a very solid base in the training of young creators who are currently studying in Spanish design schools "

The award, organized by Mediterranean Fashion Beach, under the tutelage of the Confederation of Fashion Companies Spain, has had professionals closely linked to the world of fashion who have been responsible for evaluating each of the collections that will be showed on the catwalk, according to Juan Matea and Enrique Trivaldos, members of MFB.

In parallel to the event, the organization announced the production of a solidarity calendar for 2019, aimed at raising funds for the collective Anémona Marina Baixa, in support of the fight against breast cancer. It will consist of 12 images, whose protagonists will be women of that group and relevant people related to fashion and our society. Juan Matea stressed that "swimwear is no stranger to the problem that women suffer, and the fashion world can help naturalize this health problem under the premise that anyone can feel well wearing a bathing suit."
Regarding the Prize, Matea explained that for the end of next Saturday, the technical committee of Moda España selected the proposals of 13 designers from among the 265 registered and after analyzing 448 designs and 56 collections. In the last months the new talents have had to make their works, finally presenting themselves to the catwalk 12 collections. The National Prize distributes prizes and incentives valued at € 15,000 and in addition to the prize for the best collection, the concession of 2 access points is planned.

On the catwalk next Saturday, Dolores Cortés Swimwear, a benchmark in world fashion swimwear and current best fashion SME 2016, will showcase its swimwear collection for this season.
