Benidorm joins the celebration of International Yoga's Day
On June 21, Benidorm joins the celebration of the International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated in major Spanish cities and around the world. For this reason, Benidorm City Hall through the departments of Sports, Events and Social Welfare, collaborates with the yoga platform "Yogis on the Beach", associations and local agents participating in an initiative that will take place in Biblioplaya de Levante between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice of ancient tradition that originated in India. The word "yoga" comes from Sanskrit and means unity, because it symbolizes the union of body and mind.
This celebration, promoted by the United Nations since 2015, aims to raise awareness among the population of the benefits of practicing this discipline for a healthy lifestyle. Its benefits are innumerable and proof of this is that yoga and meditation are widely recommended by medical specialists.
Benidorm City Council encourages all the citizens of the region to participate in the celebration of this day, since it is a unique event worldwide. The maximum capacity will be 120 people in each class.

- Yoga masterclass for adults at 8:00 p.m.
