Ociobal and the department of Fiestas finalize the details for the celebration of New Year's Eve in Paseo de Levante

This afternoon, the councilor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles and Richard Romero from Ociobal, the association of pubs and discos in Benidorm, accompanied by the director of events, Roberto Bazalo, have presented the New Year's Eve that, for the second time, will be held on Levante Beach, between Bilbao and Valencia streets. Last year, for the first time, the celebration of the bells in Benidorm moved from the Town Hall Square to Paseo de Levante. "A success in organization and participation," recalled Carrobles. There "between 4,000 and 5,000 peoplewere congrgated, in a very good atmosphere and without incidents". The media repercussion of the event "was tremendous", that is why, "from the Town Hall" stressed the councillor of Fiestas "we continue betting on the collaboration with Ociobal and the businessmen of Levante" for the farewell party of the year 2016. Richard Romero was "delighted to go hand in hand with the Town Hall" in the organization of the end of the year in Benidorm. Romero pointed out that 3,000 gift bags and champagne will be distributed among all the attendees, and businessmen in the sector "we are going to finance all the expenses for people who want to participate in good harmony." Romero also pointed out that there are 13 establishments that will organize the event.
Fun starts in the afternoon
The proposal of the department of Fiestas will start at 18.30, pubs will offer low-cost consumption. Along the Paseo de Levante there will be five points with two giant leds synchronized screens, which will offer to those who decide to walk a unique atmosphere and animation in all establishments. In total, the installation of 13 macro screens is planned. At 23.00 hours DJs from the 40 Principals will take the initiative in a show that will be extended until 2.30 in the morning. As a novelty, Jesús Carrobles announced that the bells will ring twice, the first at 12.00, as in the rest of Spain and one hour later, coinciding with the new year in the United Kingdom (from which comes the majority of the tourists who come to Benidorm) "and with the Canary Islands". Shortly after 12.00 pm, from El Mirador, a castle of fireworks will be launched by the City Council which will be visible throughout the bay.
