The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, have received today in Alcaldía the members of the women's team 'Elite Bikes Albir - UC Benidorm', which recently have been proclaimed Ultra Absolute Spanish Champions of Ultra Fund. This test consisted of running for 12 uninterrupted hours on the speed circuit of Almería, leaving one by one and by relays Marga Tarascon, Ana García, Alexandra Margineanu and Lirios Matarredona.
The mayor wanted to personally congratulate the champions, as well as highlight the growing importance of women's sport in Benidorm. The athletes are already thinking about the same test, but 24 hours, which is held at the circuit of Cheste (Valencia) next day 27-28 July, which would give them the official title of Ultra Farers nationwide in the two categories: 12 hours and 24 hours.
