Toni Pérez recognizes the work of the Rincón Commission and a world heritage festival
Olaya García and Ariadna Orgiles, top representatives of Rincón de Loix Falla in Benidorm
The event was attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Fiestas councilor, Mariló Cebreros, and other members of the municipal corporation. Likewise, the senator, Agustín Almodóbar, did not miss the event; nor did the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate. In addition, Olaya and Ariadna were attended by the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals 2024, Valentina Almodóbar and Laia Zamora; the president of the Commission, Mª Dolores Cano; the president of the Penyes Association 'Verge del Sofratge', Jaume Cortés; the president of the Fallera Local Board, Esther García; members of the collective and the rest of the Benidorm festive entities.
After the outgoing 'Falleras', Laura Gálvez and the girl Valentina Romero took to the stage, their courts of honour and then it was the turn of the exaltation of Olaya and Ariadna, the delivery of insignia, sashes and diplomas of recognition.
After the protocol act, the maintainers of the event, the brothers Javier and Marina Sanchez López took the floor. He is a chemical engineer; she is a psychologist. Both with family ties to Rincón de Loix Falla. After his words, the honorary falleras and falleros 2024 took the stage and after them, Toni Pérez went to the stage to congratulate the Commission and its new major falleras.
The mayor expressed having spent “a wonderful afternoon” and that “the 'Falleros' raise illusions. In about 50 days, Rincón de Loix will once again vibrate with its, with our, beloved falla.”
Toni Pérez had words of remembrance for “the 'Falleros' of the Commission who are no longer among us” and for “all the Falleros and Falleras offering the world a festival that is heritage intangible of humanity.”
After the words of the mayor, all the groups present paid the formal homage to Olaya García and Ariadna Orgiles and the event ended with the interpretation of the anthems of Benidorm and the Valencian Community.
