The government takes the new draft budget to the commission with proposals of C's and Compromís

In a press conference with the councillor for Finance, Lourdes Caselles, the mayor explained that there have been "logical assignments" in this dialogue process but always respecting the "red lines" of the government and both groups, and added that "a high percentage" of the proposals of C's and Compromís-Los Verdes "have been integrated into the draft" after receiving the endorsement of the technicians.

Although it is not mandatory that the new draft is adjudicating in the committee, the mayor believes that "it is good that prior to the plenary session, all political groups are aware of the changes" that have taken place in 15 items for a total amount of about one million euros.

Specifically, 100,000 euros has been increased for "charity care"; 7,500 euros have been incorporated for Family and Children; It has been increased the money for the Accessibility Plan of Public Roads, passing from 150,000 to 350,000 euros; and improved the amount in the areas of Culture, Sports, Commerce and Tourism. In addition, it has been reserved the amount to meet the penultimate sentence of the special contributions of subarea C in case of an unsuccessful appeal by the City Council.

The mayor noted that the changes that have been made "benefit to all citizens" and stressed that to increase these items "it has not been reduced the amount in key areas such as Education or Social Welfare."

The mayor indicated that once this draft is ruled in committee, the idea of government is to convene the plenary session for next Monday, March 7th. Pérez was convinced that in the plenary session, there will be new amendments: the groups that "so far have not wanted to participate in the dialogue process" to complete and improve the budget.
