Zárate pointed out that this will prevent that in the next few months thousands of liters of water will be needed to fill those pools, and recalled that the legislation permit to keep the same water for some years by applying a specific treatment.

The council requested that in those cases when it is necessary to empty a pool "for disinfection or reparation of damges" it can be used the free service drain offered by the City Council through the dealerships for street cleaning and parks and gardens , Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) and La Generala. Zárate pointed out that this service, provided since 2006, allows to use water from private pools to flush streets and for watering gardens if the tests confirm it is suitable for irrigation.
