The councillor for Urbanism, Rubén Martínez, stressed that "we have managed to renew the water infrastructure in this part of the city to prevent flooding, which was the most important goal, but we have also conditioned the street for entrepreneurs in this area so that they can have tables and chairs outside in the street."

The councilman for Water Cycle and Environment, Pepe Marcet, stressed that "we have won space for pedestrians in a central location, right next to the beach, and that's always good in a tourist town like ours". He also stressed the importance of "this work to ensure floods do not occur duirng heavy rains."
