Benidorm and the Russian government will sign an agreement to promote tourism
The agreement was reached during a meeting held this morning at the mayor's office between the mayor of Benidorm, Agustin Navarro, the Councillor for Tourism Gema Amor, the first deputy of the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development, Ekaterina Kokorina, and the managing director of AMM-2000, Andrey M. Molotilov. This company is also organizer of the 11th Conference 'High medical technologies of XXI century "which takes place these days in Hotel Poseidon Palace.
The Councillor for Tourism, Gema Amor, said after the meeting that the agreement will allow Benidorm to continue growing in conference tourism, while becoming an international meeting point and discussion of the latest advances in medical technology.
The councilor also stressed the importance of the Russian market to Benidorm as it is an emerging market and whose inhabitants go abroad increasingly. In that sense, Benidorm Tourism Foundation has already made several promotional activities in Moscow and St. Petersburg in order to attract new customers to our destination. A commercial has also been contracted to promote Benidorm in Spanish Tourist Office in Moscow.
An activity that joins others already made, as the translation of the web into Russian , a new brochure in Russian, a video, assists to the MITT fair, two fam trips for tour operation and press a new line of customer call in Russian, which has been released as aid for tourists from that country to the tourism sector in Benidorm and other workshop that took place in the Tour Operator Versa in St. Petersburg last May.
