One more year, painters and artisans return to the squares of Castelar and La Senyoria to energize the evenings in the historic center

The workshops of 'Les nits del Castell' begin

06 July 2023
Puestos de artesanía de 'Les Nits del Castell'

Since last weekend and as every summer, artisans, painters, and caricaturists star in a new edition of 'Les nits del Castell', an initiative of the Department of Commerce that seeks to revitalize the historic center during the nights of the summer season and that includes craft workshops open to the public. These workshops are already underway, as verified yesterday by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Commerce, Javier Jordá, who together with members of the Corporation and AICO visited 'Les Nits del Castell' yesterday.

These workshops will be held throughout July from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 p.m. and are taught by the artisans who have set up their stalls in the Castelar and La Senyoria squares. Each day the workshop will be run by one of the artisans.

In this edition of 'Les nits del Castell', which will last until September 15, 15 qualified artisans with a professional license participate with a stall selling sterling silver and precious stones jewelry, jewelry, cold porcelain ornaments, pendants, handmade soaps, beads or handmade toys, among others. To these are added three portrait artists, six caricaturists, a landscape painter, and a silhouette artist.

In addition, as a complement to this offer, as in previous years, Asmibe (Benidorm and Region Association of People with Disabilities) has set up a stall where creations made by its members such as fans, bookbinding, or leather goods can be purchased.
